As a Church we are privileged to be able to support Paul & Lynne Day with their work in Kenya, which they have been involved with for the last 11 years. Initial work included the setting up of a small school in Nakuru along with a community house providing accommodation for ex street children. The ladies of the WIN group have been especially supportive over the last 5 years and during this time we have been involved in the setting up of various community projects including the financing of dairy goats for a ladies co-operative and the provision of ovens and equipment to start a small bakery. Our latest project involves the building and setting up of a centre in Nakuru to provide respite accommodation and vocational training facilities for young people. This is to be called the Emmanuel Centre and comes under the “umbrella” of LSIC (Life Salvage International Centre) an NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) registered in Kenya.
