Stand with us as we seek to serve young people in Brentwood!
Get involved! By giving a gift, you are not simply supporting a challenge, you are investing directly in consistent care for young people. We are inviting both one-off gifts to mark the event and regular monthly gifts to sustain the work long-term. Your generosity funds time, presence and practical support for the next generation in Brentwood, and we would be deeply grateful for any gift you feel able to give.

We are excited (and slightly nervous!) to share that our team and friends are taking on Nuclear Races — all to raise funds for our ongoing youth work here in Brentwood.
This isn’t just about mud, obstacles and endurance. It’s about standing in the gap for young people who need consistent support, trusted adults and safe spaces to grow.
Through DRCC Youth we provide mentoring, detached youth work, school support and other opportunities for young people navigating anxiety, pressure, risk and isolation. We see first-hand how early, relational support can change direction and restore hope.
Across Brentwood, there is a growing need for consistent, trusted adults who will walk alongside young people at some of the most formative — and often fragile — stages of their lives.
Through DRCC Youth, we are working in schools, on the streets, and within the local community to provide:
-
1:1 mentoring and early intervention
-
Detached youth work in local hotspots
-
Lunchtime and after-school projects
-
Safe spaces where young people can belong, be heard, and grow
-
Support that helps young people explore identity, purpose and hope
Why this matters
Many young people in Brentwood are navigating anxiety, family breakdown, exploitation risks, and increasing social pressure. While the borough is often seen as affluent, hidden vulnerability is real. Early support prevents crisis later.
Every mentoring conversation, every safe space created, every positive adult relationship built helps to:
-
Reduce anti-social behaviour
-
Improve school engagement
-
Strengthen emotional wellbeing
-
Build resilience and confidence
This is preventative, relational work — and it changes lives.
Where your support goes
Your financial support enables us to:
-
Fund trained youth workers to be present consistently
-
Expand detached (Street – Based) youth sessions in key areas
-
Provide resources and activities for group work
-
Offer 1:1 support for young people
-
Respond quickly when young people reach crisis points
Put simply, your giving directly funds time — time spent listening, guiding, mentoring and supporting.
